The Importance Of Water

Do you know how important water is for working out? Everyone has heard that you need to stay hydrated during the day, but not everybody pays as close attention to being hydrated during working out as they should.

This is serious, because if you aren't properly hydrated when you are working out, you run the risk of developing some serious conditions like heat stroke, or even fainting during your workout. But these risks aside, you won't be working out as efficiently as you can if you are not properly hydrated.

You see, water is really important to keeping your joints lubricated so you can avoid injuries. If you aren't properly hydrated, you run the risks of cramps during exercise routines. And you will also get tired a lot quicker and not be able to workout as long as you might have if you had been drinking enough water.

Here are some tips to help you get and stay properly hydrated while working out:
  1. Always carry a water bottle with you. Have a special workout water bottle that is large enough that you don't have to keep refilling it while on your favorite machine or in your favorite class.
  2. Pay attention to your weight immediately prior to and after a workout. If you see a lot of weight loss - this is not a good thing! It means you are losing water, and are not drinking enough while working out.
Water intake may not seem like a big deal, but it really is, and you need to take the steps to make sure you are properly hydrated when working out!

Choosing The Best Elliptical Machine

Working out at home can be a real convenience, especially is you have a great workout machine you can rely on. Recently we reviewed some of the best elliptical machines on the market, and came up with some great tips to help you choose the best machine for yourself and your home.

Tips #1: Before you buy any machine, make sure it has a good warranty that covers both parts and labor. OK, ideally the machine you buy will never have any problems and will work without a hitch. The best machines usually are quite reliable. But if you do have a problem, fixing an elliptical machine can be very expensive.

Fortunately, most manufacturers offer warranties for both parts and labor. Usually they will cover the parts for at least five years (sometimes up to ten), but the labor will have a shorter warranty period.

Tip #2: Make sure you can return the machine if it really doesn't work for you. The best manufacturers will allow you up to sixty days to return your machine, no questions asked. Make sure you have a completely no hassle return process before you buy your elliptical machine!

Tip #3: Do your research before you buy. You can literally save yourself hundreds of dollars if you find the right coupons or sale deals, and you will be able to do this by comparing prices at different online sites. Generally, however, you will be able to purchase your machine at a more affordable price if you do so through the manufacturer website directly. You may be surprised at how much variation in prices you will find online, so make sure you check out all your different options before pressing that "buy now" button!

By following these three tips, I can guarantee you that you will save yourself a lot of hassle - and money - down the road.
